galaxy necklaces

Hello, I am still alive.
I’ve been busy looking for a job(no luck) and preparing for the Selvedge Spring Fair, 31st March.
I am working on a new collection of clothes and my theme is “minus the sun, night all day”. I will create a proper story to go with it but basically, it’s about the night and the night sky. A few garments are on the way but before them, here are the resin encased sequins and sparkles necklaces. On a silk string with matching colour beads by the clasp. There are only four of each and of course none of them are exactly the same.

trapped embroidery resin cufflinks

I’ve made resin cufflinks again but in a smaller size, red and black.
There are eight designs each to mix and match.
I wonder if there are shirts for women which have French cuffs.

Valentine’s rings and hair slides

Happy New Year! I am still alive.
What shall I do this year… get a job (can anyone help me?), start selling online, find more stockists, enter more competitions, do more craft fairs, make some friends…perhaps all of them.

So, anyway, I have made some trapped embroidery resin jewellery for Valentine’s day. I usually don’t do hearts, birds, flowers, butterflies and such (because I feel embarrassed to wear them) but I guess a tiny one could be alright. I’ve only made 6 of each, rings and hair slides, so run to my stockist “Circus” in Brixton Village. They will be in stock this weekend.

crocheted rings

I have made some crocheted rings. After quite a few experiments, I’ve finally decided this is it. I like how they look like little crowns, or plasters, or thimbles. One edge is beaded and the other has picot stitches for a lacy effect. I have used sewing thread in silk as I couldn’t find knitting yarns fine enough to make these delicate rings. They are so cute!

The Suicidal Girl’s bracelet

So, here are the wrap bracelets inspired by bandage for No.1 The Suicidal Girl, a character from my story “YOU’RE ALL MINE (YOU’RE ALL IN ME). The idea is that she wears it to protect her from harming herself but you don’t have to know this if you are a cheerful person who just likes a nice bracelet. The hand crocheted lace is made of viscose and the ribbon is a cotton and acetate mix. The fastening is hook but no eye. You hook the hook onto any of the lace holes just like you hook the little metal thing to fasten your bandage.(or is it not like that any more?)

This is the original double wrap design.

And this is the more affordable single wrap version.

Above is the double one, below is the single one.
The double one is long enough to wear it as a choker as well.

more jewellery

At Circus, I’ve been selling rings, bracelets, brooches, and buttons since June but I’ve started doing cuff links and necklaces from this month as well. I will take some hair slides and earrings this week to the shop and see if they’d like it.

I’ve started using glue gun to attach the brooch base. I think it looks nicer.

the necklaces
made of plastic silver beads and silk thread
the two shop ladies at Circus liked it and each of them has one

cuff links
They told me there was someone wanting cuff links so here they are.
I had no idea how they are used but now I know because I learnt it from a youtube video.

hair slides
I’ve made some and been wearing them myself since I don’t see people wearing hair slides and thought they won’t sell. However, a few people mentioned that they would have them so they will go to the shop as well!

earrings
I personally don’t wear them because I think piercing ears is painful and don’t want holes on my ears(or anywhere else) but the fact is, most women have piercings so here they go.
